Just Cavalli Delivers a Gorgeous Graphic Statement with Luxurious Twists in a Delicious Palette
We bring you a front row view of the Just Cavalli autumn/winter 2015 presentation at Milan Fashion Week. Enjoy Fashion One’s highlights of the gorgeous runway show and fall in love with the graphic prints and rich colors of Roberto Cavalli’s latest designs. The collection was decidedly feminine but with a bold and powerful attitude as models with slicked down wet look hair strutted down the spot lit shiny black catwalk whilst black, white and red projections danced around behind them.
Centuries collided with 1970s excessive glamour combining with Victorian elements such as high neck ruffled collars and floor length gowns cinched at the waist. Warm reds, pinks and terracottas swirled across the pieces amongst orange, mustard and mauve in psychedelic waves, while later garments included a series of rich scarlet and pale pink silk dresses with feather embellishments sprouting to life from 3D appliqués.
Coats, jacket hoods and handbags were all trimmed, if not covered, with decadent colored fur worn with a-line skirts, ribbed knit sweaters and baby doll dresses. Amongst the trademark bold contrasting Cavalli patterns some of the simpler pieces really stood out including a beautiful flowing mustard high-necked gown with ruffles on the lower sleeves. Luxury was conveyed in every aspect from silhouette to texture as well as finishing details, but although this was a dramatic collection it still contained a plethora of desirable and wearable clothes.
