Andrea Pompilio is back with another collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand Onitsuka Tiger for Tokyo Fashion Week. The Spring/Summer 2016 collaboration was shown in strictly black, red and white with an abstract floral print playing a key part in the collection. Though the color palette was limited, Pompilio more than made up for it by experimenting with different textiles––including lots of mesh, heavy jerseys and what WWD has called a, “raw-edged, felt-like material”.

Standout pieces include the seductive mesh garters, oversized shirt dresses with thigh high slits and travel-inspired accessories like the luggage tag necklaces and duffel bags in the collection’s original graphic print. Pompilio’s expert marriage of sportswear and street cred have created a collection that elevates athleisure to the next level. Whether you’re out in the field or more comfortable watching from the front row, there’s no denying that the Onitsuka Tiger X Andrea Pompilio Spring/Summer 2016 collection caters to everyone––athletes and fashionistas alike.
